COACH Program Funding and Scholarships - Maine East & Maine West
Students supporting students
Currently available at Maine East and Maine West, the COACH (COoperative ACHievement) Program offers in-school peer tutoring, which is available to all students, at all levels, in all subjects. Designed to empower students to become Academic Coaches to their student colleagues, the COACH Program benefits the students being tutored and those providing assistance - as well as teachers and the broader community. The COACH program received recognition from the National Tutoring Association for an Outstanding Peer Tutoring Program at the high school level.
Maine 207 Foundation supports the work of the COACH Program by:
Awarding an annual scholarship to a COACH Academic Coach at each school.
Granting funds toward student tutor training and supplies.
COACH Scholarships Maine 207 Foundation offers $1,000 scholarships to current or past student tutors in the COACH program at each Maine High School with an active COACH program. Maintain positive scholastic performance
