Since 1993, Maine 207 Foundation has awarded over 200 grants totaling over $200,000 to Maine District 207 teachers and students. The Foundation supports educational activities, scholarships, and student health, including:
Grants for curriculum development and other innovative learning experiences in the following curricular areas:
Fine and Performing Arts
Civic Education
Writing and Communication
Technology in the Curriculum
STEM and STEAM experiences
School Culture and Student Services
District-wide or multi-school programs benefiting District 207 students:
The School Based Health Center, which provides free or low cost health care to all District 207 students
Nationally recognized Peer Tutoring program COACH Programat Maine East High School and Maine West High School, including scholarships awarded to a COACH tutor at each school
District 207 COVID-19 Emergency Fund for D207 students and staff dealing with food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic
To apply for a grant, we ask all applicants to confirm they have read the Foundation's grant guidelines. Once you have confirmed you read the guidelines, you will receive a message with the link to apply.
NOTE: Applicants should submit grant applications by the 15th of the month to allow enough time required for the approval process within your school in order for the Foundation's Board of Trustees to consider your application at the next month's board meeting.
