Over $200,000 in Grants Awarded
Since 1993, Maine 207 Foundation has awarded over 200 grants totaling over $200,000 to Maine District 207 teachers and students. The Foundation supports educational activities, scholarships, and student health, including:
NOTE: Applicants should submit grant applications by the 15th of the month to allow enough time required for the approval process within your school in order for the Foundation's Board of Trustees to consider your application at the next month's board meeting.
- Grants for curriculum development and other innovative learning experiences in the following curricular areas:
- Fine and Performing Arts
- Civic Education
- Writing and Communication
- Technology in the Curriculum
- STEM and STEAM experiences
- School Culture and Student Services
- District-wide or multi-school programs benefiting District 207 students:
- The School Based Health Center, which provides free or low cost health care to all District 207 students
- Nationally recognized Peer Tutoring program COACH Program at Maine East High School and Maine West High School, including scholarships awarded to a COACH tutor at each school
- District 207 COVID-19 Emergency Fund for D207 students and staff dealing with food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic
