Maine South Advanced Graphic Arts Class and District 207 Career Exploration

The Maine 207 Foundation Board of Trustees would like to thank the Maine South Advanced Graphics Arts class for their creativity and work on the benefit invitation and artwork as well as the redesign of the Foundation logo. We would especially like to thank Sheryl Peterson, the Advanced Graphic Arts instructor, and Paolo Vacala, Maine South Graphic Arts student, for their responsiveness, dedication, and design skills toward creating the invitation and other marketing materials, artwork for the benefit, and the new Foundation logo.

Students in the Advanced Graphic Arts class work on a variety of projects for local businesses and organizations to obtain real-world design experience. To learn more about how an Advanced Graphic Arts student could work on a design project for your organization or business, please email Sheryl Peterson.

The Advanced Graphic Arts class is just one example of the many opportunities available to Maine Township High School students to gain work experience and explore careers. A major District 207 initiative is to give every student an opportunity to have a job shadow, mentoring, internship or pre-apprenticeship experience before they make a post-secondary decision. Local businesses are invited to become a business partner with District 207. For more information on the Career Exploration program, please visit https://maine207.org/career-exploration/.
